alex

my machine has been fine and all of a sudden when i turn
it on it gives me a screen saying that it didn't start
successfully and and i can choose from several options

1 safe mode
2 safe mode with networking
3 safe mode with command prompt
4 last known successful satrt settings
5 normal start up

i've tried them all and the maching just resarts after i
see the xp logo for a few seconds

i've read other posts and tried their suggestions

i can't boot from the cd to repair
i've reset my bios to default again
i've tried F8 to start in safe mode - still doesn't work

i really need to get my pc working as i have work for
some websites i'm doing and can't reformat

i can only access the internet through a spare hard drive
to post this message

please help
thanks
alex

I also am having the same problem onmy daughters laptop.
Have asked for help on this board twice and only
suggestions so far have been to use the restore cd.
Another suggested the motherboard may need to be replaced.
I tried to reinstall windows but the loop would not stop
with that frustrating message so it wouldn't load the
windows cd.
If you figure it out please post the solution. Thanks!
