I am running WIN XP Prof in My P III 1.13ghz 192 MB RAM
P.C which is crashing a lot and also getting hang every
now and then this problem is more severe when i have
connected to internet even i have downloaded latest
security up dates but those are not proved to be up to
the mark please give me some good panacea which can sort
my problem.

Hi,

I am also experiencing a problem as are others (Courtney,
Dick Shrewsbury, Marie, Allen, ogi, Pat Nolan, Dan)

Dick, Allen, and I all get temporarily cured by a restart
of the computer. Do you? That seems to be one of the
conditions that mark our problem.

We have the CPU in the 90% range when it is slow.

Look for posts with subjects of
Slow computer
High CPU usage

I feel like its a new, undocumented virus thingy!

Let us know if you have the same problem.

HTH,
Kathy

Please define "crashing" as it applies to your situation.

Does your computer just lock up and stop responding?

Does it automatically shut down and restart itself?

Does it produce an error message of some kind? If so then the
complete *verbatim* text of the error message(s) is the indispensable
minimum amount of information that you must provide in order for
anyone to be able to help you resolve the problem.

Without the specifics about the best advice that can be given for
preventing crashes is to leave the computer turned off.

Please see for some advice and
suggestions about what information you should provide when requesting
assistance with a problem.

Good luck
