Hi, my XP stubbors it has a network card, which i removed
from the box some months ago, it installs automaticely
a driver for it and switches it on. Surely the true
existing network card may be confused (i cannot ping
default
gateway).
1. How can i prevent XP to install automaticely hardware
?
2. What must be deleted to stop this behaviour after
system
reinstall ? An ordinary reinstall didn't help ! I hope i
don't need to format the disk - i have some user data
there
thank you in advance
(e-mail address removed)

How about leaving it installed and disabling it in the system mangler?

i cannot ping default gateway, i guess this is because
the new network adapter is confused if two of them are
switched on. disabling the old card is not enought - it
will be enabled automaticely
