Hey,
I'm trying to install XP above Windows 2000 and am getting
to the 'Installing Windows' part. There I get a fatal
error and can not do anything (I know of) to fix it. I
get this message:
Error:
SXS.DLL: Syntax error in manifest or policy file"F:\I386
\asms\6000\msft\windows\common\controls\controls.man" on
line 0.
Error:
Installation Failed: F:\I386\asms. Error Mesage:: Manifest
Parse Error: Invalid at the top level of the document.
now, I searched a bit and found out the if you get a
Manifest Parse Error you have to get a new cd because a
file is corrupt. So I got a XP - cd, but still i get the
same message... I really don't have any clue now.
If anyone has got any idea what to do. Please let me know.
Thanks!
