Then it sounds like something is misconfigured in the system hardware.
Possibly an incorrect jumper placement, or another peice of hardware
interfering. I would remove all unnecessary peripherals, then reseat
cabling, jumper placement, and recheck bios detection settings before trying
again.

I did use the MS Partitions in XP setup. I was also getting the same
error when I tried to install Win 98, I also tried to create a 15 Gig
partition and still got the same error. I also had a 10 Gig drive and XP
tried to install on the 10 Gig Drive partition. It is really strange. Any
further ideas would be greatly appreciated.
