updated pen 2 computer with an intel 865perl motherboard,
512ram, pen 4 chip. Computer has a 2 gig drive use for
system a a 20 gig drive divided by 2 gig partitions.
Reinstalled XP to 2 gig c: drive. install eats up almost
the entire drive, get low disc indicator immediately. I
reformatted the drive (fat like the others) to make sure
system wasn't on twice, reinstalled, same problem.

I've been booting from the XP master CD. HELP!

Harry;
You need more space.
Microsoft may suggest a minimum of 1.5gb, however that is the minimum.
Are you adding any of the optional stuff?
You really need >4gb for Windows XP.
That will allow for Service Pack, updates etc.
That does NOT allow for any other files or applications.

Help with what?

That's what XP uses. You will find that when you install programs to your other partitions that XP grows in size too.

Get a larger HDD to install XP on.
