Man, am I ever having a hard time. I finally got XP Prot to work, but I had to install it twice. I tried to repair the first installation booting from the CD, but it didn't work, so I installed it all over again. It worked, but now I still have the old installation on the computer and it asks me to choose which one to use each time I boot up. I installed the second XP Pro to C:\WINDOWS\XP instead of just C:\WINDOWS, where the first one was installed. How do I get rid of the first faulty installation without damaging the second one (which I am still having a few problems with)? Thanks for all your guys' help.

Greetings Eahn,

You seemed to have really missed up your XP installation. I don't recommend
you into just deleting the "C:\Windows" folder. This may contain important
data. The only way I guess to have a clean installation is to format your
whole drive and install Windows XP.

Here's a guide to format your hard drive to Windows XP PRO:

Thanks and best of luck!
