XP import error

We have a database that was created in 97 and has recently
been converted to XP. The import brings in a very large
file (approximately 300mb). With XP now we receive and
error that states "One or more rows of data in your file
contain too many characters to import". IF we go back to
97 and try it, it still works. We would like to get this
working with XP. Has anyone ever run into this before?
If you have any ideas on how to fix it, I would greatly
appreciate it.

My hunch is that when you converted to XP, the Field Size of one or more text
fields was made smaller than what it was in Access97. This could happen during
the conversion process where XP used its default field size of 50 for one or
more text fields where in Access97 the field(s) had a size greater than 50. Open
each of your tables in design view one at a time and check the field size of
each text field to determine if it is appropriate.
