Has anyone come across an issue on XP IE6SP1 where you
cannot access secure webpages? If so, what is the fix? I
tried reinstalling SP1 and that didn't work. Thanks.

I am having the same problem. Using IE6 w/SP1 all
critical windows updates have been installed. I verified
that it is running at 128bit encryption and that my user
profile for windows was not corrupted, as this was a
solution I found in one KB article. I have also tried
reinstalling IE6 by manually editing the registry setting
to allow it to reinstall. All security/privacy/advanced
settings in IE6 are set as they should be. Any help would
be appreciated.

Here is the link to the one KB article I found related to
this, though it is'nt exactly related as this says it is
for ie5.0 w/nt or 2000 and ie6.0 (doesn't specify sp1):

Thanks,
Hamilton

I also read that KB article before posting my issue. It
was of no help to me either. I am running at 128-bit
encryption as well. I have heard that doing a repair from
the XP CD will correct the issue. For some reason,
though, the repair won't work for me. When I kick it off,
it asks me what partition to repair and then for the
administrator password. Once that's been entered in, the
PC just sits at a c:\windows> prompt waiting for what
likes a user to input data. Do you know what to do from
that point?

Thanks!
Mark
