Hi, I went to MSN chat and went to chat and got a message
when using it saying that i have to subscribe to
participate.. what is going on? I have used this for free
for so long and that confused me to the point of no
return, does it have something to do with the updat'es
that if you dont have the correct update's that it tell's
you you have to subscribe? Also, I see that under new's
goupes that all the names are used as anonymous and before
that I see that they were unavailble for awhile, and i
thought this was cause of me trying to fix my fax xp up
and got error messages saying that i wouldnt be ablt to
view them anymore. So, Is this just an XP thing going
through it's normal change's or is it just me?? Thanks Rob.

The server was down, that's why you got the unavailable message. MSN has
changed their chat setup, you'll have to check their tech support which is
not what this board is all about. MSN recently made a policy change closing
chat in other countries and severely limiting it here so it wouldn't
surprise me if they are now requiring a subscription to chat. The change in
the chat format is an effort to protect children from predators.

Microsoft changed from free chat to subscriber only.
