I have Xp home on my c drive of a computer running an
athlon 64 processor. I heard about Xp 64 beta, downloaded
and installed on drive d in a dual format boot.
To make a long story short I'm ready to un-install the
beta version. Other than just reformatting the d drive is
there a way to remove it, so that I don't have to edit the
windows initiation file to remove the dual boot selection
at start-up. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thank-
you. Mike Hyatt

I would recommend posting in the appopriate beta newsgroup.

Well I'm sorry that I'm so incompetetent that I'm unable
to find an Xp beta forum. After a couple of hours of
searching and frustration I tried the closest thing I
could find: So can you tell me where to find it?

Go back to the Microsoft page where you got the beta and it should tell you.

Hi,

You can remove it by simply deleting the unwanted system folders for the 64
bit installation. Once deleted, reboot, then start/run msconfig, go to the
boot.ini tab and click "check all boot paths". It should offer to remove the
entry that is no longer valid. If not, then you will have to do it manually.

Rick, Thank-you for your time and patience in explaining
how to complete the operation. Worked like a charm.
Definitely Number One "MVP" in my books Thanks.
