xp home vs xp pro

I purchased a new system from a lg vendor and specified xp
professional for the operating system...they delivered xp
home and are now offering a software upgrade to resolve
the issue. This seems like a mickey mouse fix to me, I
would appreciate any opinion you would like to share!

That is a common fix for such a mistake.
An alternative may be to send the computer back and get another.
Costly for them with a delay for you.
