XP Home Upgrade to XP Pro Hangs on Reboot

Upgrading XP Home to XP Pro. When first reboot occurs
computer hangs at the floppy disk initiation and won't go
any further. Computer is HP 750n with 1.6 ghz Pentium 4,
512 mb ram. Any ideas?
 
Let me see if I have this correct. Your machine is attempting to start and
not hitting the hard drive???? Sounds like it isn't recognizing your hard
drive. Could you give me more formation?
