Hello everybody,

How do I connect my Win XP Home Edition PC to my Win 2000 Server through
Domain, not Workgroup? Anyone has any idea?

choo.

XPHome doesn't provide the ability to log onto a domain,
they are the limitations of the operating system, you
need XP Pro.

If you can download the OLD powertools for XPHome that
has a feature on it that allows you to logon to a domain
using XPHome, but it is a little tricky.

To connect through Domain. You can set your domain name in
My Computer Properties -> Computer Name -> Change(button).

Then you can see the Domain text box.

XP Home Edition can't join a domain or log into a domain. It can
connect to a domain and access domain resources. For details, please

Another good case why the Windows XP Home Edition is
useless. Always get the Pro versions. But hey MS doesn't
think home users don't need those extra features. They
know best!!.
