Information

We have XP Home SP3 on a Intel Board 845GRG that has on-board audio as well
as a SB Audigy card.

Whether I leave the SB card in or not, I get "No Audio Device" out of the
Control Panel.

BIOS is up to date.
Intel INF updates are applied.
We have disabled/enabled the on-board audio.
We have removed/reseated SB card.

Device Manager shows all is installed and working, yet, Control Panel |
Sound shows No Audio Device.

I cannot find any other suggestions other than those above, and more pleas
for help.

Any insight is appreciated, thanksin advance.

Has the SB had the drivers installed?

yes, SB Audigy shows in Device Manager (when SB card is in). I've tried it
with the card installed and removed.

Did you check in the SB mixer so as to see it might not be "muted?"

I have no volume control or SB mixer since I have no "Audio Device".

Have reuninstalled via Add/remove ( three were listed...1) Creative Drivers
2) SB Audigy 3)Soundmax )

Soundmax has been disabled in the BIOS since we have the Audigy.

Device Manager has no indications of a problem, but still "No Audio Device".
