XP Home SP2 and very slow IE

Hi, I just installed SP2. I've had no problems with the upgrade, however ...
I now find that IE just crawls along. It's even slower than over 56k dialup
(I've 512k DSL). It only seems to be IE that's slow online. Netscape, Opera
etc are just zipping along.

There has been no other change to the PC, except installing SP2. I've a good
AV and firewall (software and hardware). I'm not infected with spyware nor
adware.

Any tips or advice?

IE has been corrupted, uninstall it in control panel "Windows remove" then
go to MSN HOME and do a IE search and d/l / install the uncorrupted
version.
I had the same issue last week and i fixed mine in this way.
PS,i see the new version has a builtin popup blocker. yum.

Before downloading an installing a new version of IE, look at what AV and
Firewall you are using, are they causing problems with the firewall supplied
as part of SP2? Do they conflict, contact the vendor of your software to
ascertain if there are any compatibility issues.

You can download IE6 from here:
