I have XP Home on C HD, and I would like to install the same on another HD D. I think that is called multiboot. The old or original XP is corrupted and I would like to putz around with it to see if i cant fix it. (LOL) I have saved all my data to the HD D. (I think so, first time I did a save. about 3 gigs of stuff) There is no partition on the D drive. Its a 40 gig and using about 20gig. I have looked at partitoin in the help section and a book (Windows inside out) by Microsoft. Been in safe mode but I cant find Disk New Partition Wizard
Looks like I need to buy stock in Partition Magic?

If you have data on D, then you have a partition on D. You can't write
anything to a drive unless it's got a partition.

If you want to shrink that partition and create a new one in the then-empty
space, you'll need something like partition magic.

Thanks !! I guess I was not asking the right question !!..I was under the impression that you could use XP Home to make a partition on a HD that was in use and had data on it.

Thanks all for the help !
