xp home network

added two dell 2400 xp home on working net. old units
me. one of new units only sees self in workgroup but
sees other c drives in local network but says not
accessable when attempt to access. all protocols set.
experienced in simple networks dell support could not
solve sent me to microsoft bulletin 304040 but only
applies to professional. extremely frustrated
 
Disable the firewall on both computers if you have. PC Cillin antivirus has a firewall setting. Disable the firewall in theXP.
 
THANKS! It took me ages to realise that the source of my
problem was due to PC Cillin, kind of daft that I didn't
pick this up earlier - didn't know it had its own built
in Firewall.

My network is running 100% again now thanks for that!
