S Sharon F Aug 15, 2003 #2 If I enable Windows XP's firewall, will I still be able to receive NAV LiveUpdate notifications? Click to expand... Should. The firewall doesn't monitor outgoing requests. The LiveUpdate program will initiate a request to symantec to check for updates. That transaction will be viewed as "allowed" and the return results should be allowed too.
