Simple things to check are volume control (make sure muted is not checked
and volume sliders are not too low), volume control on speaker, and speaker
jack plugged in correctly. If you have another computer, you can verify
that the speakers are not bad. Hope that helps.

Hi- open Device Manager, click Start, click Control
Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, and then click
System. In the System Properties dialog box, click the
Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager. Click on
sound, video and game controllers, right click on your
sound device and then click on update drivers. Once your
drivers are installled it should be fine.
