OK, here are the details. In the office we have a mix of
12 PC/notebooks either running XP Pro or Win2k Pro.
Everything is plugged into a switch and then to a Linksys
router. All IPs are configured manually. All the
computers work fine within the network and accessing the
net. Problem: We recently bought a notebook with XP Home
edition. I've set it up like all the other PCs but it
still doesn't see the network. I can ping it from one of
the other PCs and I can ping the other PCs from this
notebook. But when I go to See other Network computers,
it says that the network isn't accessible. The notebook
name shows up on the other PCs but when I double click it
it says it's not accessible.
All this is on a wired network BTW.
Thanks
