Based on the problem description, I don't know if this is a physical
limitation or a logical one?
If it's a physical limitation where there's only 2 ports on the back of the
Phoebe router, then you need to get a switch or a hub that you can connect
your machines to and uplink the switch/hub to the phoebe router.
If it's a logical issue (no IP address), then we need to know if you are
getting a public IP address - means that are you connecting directly to the
Internet or is the Phoebe router doing NAT for your network? If the Phoebe
router is doing NAT, it may not have DHCP configured correctly. Can you try
to set a static IP in the same subnet as the Windows 2000 and does it work?
If it does, then you need to configure Phoebe router or another device to
provide DHCP services.
