Have any problems with reduced performance been noted with the download of xp
service pack 3? Since recently having it downloaded, office programs are
much slower to respond.

There is no need to post another question about the same subject. You've
already gotten answers in the first thread you created. Please go back to
that thread (I won't be monitoring this one).

None that I have seen and been able to verify as being caused by Windows XP
SP3 itself.

I have seen machines that were slowed after the installation of SP3 because
it exasperated an existing issue and once the machine was cleaned up/new
hardware drivers installed/etc - everything was running as well if not
better than before.
