Hi,
I'm having the following problem with windows xp home sp2:
I dont have any rights on the pc while im an administrator with
administrator rights.
I created another user with administrator rights and this user also doesnt
have any right. I cannot even change the system time cause then i get 'you
dont have rights to change system time'. Also a lot of programms cannot be
installed, also windows installer 3.1 gives me the error that i dont have
enough rights.
Can someone help me?

Go to > Start > Run and type Control Userpasswords2 and click OK. Double
check that the users are in the Administrators group. Also in Control
Userpasswords2 you could try creating another user as with Power User rights
and see if that user has enough rights.

Hi Russ,
I checked that yes, and the users ar in the administrators group.
I did not try creating a user via the control userpasswords2 option, but i
will trie.
I hope it can be done on a xp home pc via this option...

You can NOT create a power user in XP home, no matter what method you try. If
you try doing it using control userpasswords2, you will mess up your accounts
even more, because they will be set as guest user accounts!!! Have a computer
guy from the local Geek Squad (or another qualified person/company) take a
look at it and remove a virus/malware if you have any. And you probably do
have some.

Good luck,
