XP Home, 2 users, autostart program ?

I'm running XP Home Edition, and have 2 users - myself and my "teaching
identity".

I'd like to run my temperature monitor program whenever the machine is up,
but, even thought I have it in autostart for all users, the program will
only start after I have logged on...

Any way to have it starts on boot up, not log on?

As an aside, how do I make the pc startup automatically after a power
outage - unattended?

Thanks in advance!

Where is this program starting from? If the program is starting up in a
"Start-up" program group, then you can not get it to start up without logging
on. You may need to look at a method of placing this as a "service."

Scheduled Tasks, "when my computer starts".

BIOS, start up after power returns.
