Hi,

My computer hangs and sometimes shuts off at irregular
intervals. It doesn't seem to make any difference what
program I'm using.

Very frustrating.

Please Help.

Hi Rick,

Most errors are in system log:

1. System clock is unsynchronized
2. EC returned data when none requested. May indicated
BIOS is incorrectly tyring to access EC without
synchronizing with the OS. (several times)
3. Server's call to system service failed unexpectedly.
4. Server could not bind to transport/device/netbt_tcip
(several times)
5. IPSEC services serv ice terminated with following
error: Attempted operation not supported.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I suspect #2, but this should tell us for sure:

Control Panel/system/advanced tab, click on startup and recovery options.
Near the bottom, uncheck the option to automatically restart on system
failure. Apply/.ok your way out. Next time it happens, this should produce a
STOP error or blue screen. Post back with the text of the error screen.

Hi Rick,

You said.
I suspect #2, 2. EC returned data when none requested. May indicated

It did not produce a stop error or blue screen...just
froze the computer, but the error message was the one
about the EC
