XP, Front Page Extensions, and Apache Web Server

I am trying to install the FP extensions in order to develop a web page
locally. I am using windows XP pro and have installed Apache web server. I
can get
Apache to work but I cannot get the FP extensions to install so I can
develop the web page. Does anyone have any idea how to accomplish this? Is
it even possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well that is my problem, I have found these files before but I don't know
how to get them installed seeing as I am running NTFS and these are Unix
files. Does anyone have a way around this, or I am misunderstanding
something?
 
Why are you installing Apache on a local machine??

Install MS IIS and the appropriate extensions.
You can still publish to a live Apache server later on.

You cannot install FP extensions on a Windows version of Apache.
Remove Apache, install IIS from the Windows XPpro disc, and configure the FP
extensions on IIS. (FP2000 extensions are installed by default.)

Apache for windows is not supported by FP server extensions.
