Hi folks -
Hope you can help me. I loaded NAV
2004 to my Windows XP Pro OS about three weeks ago. I
have noticied a glitch that has become quite bothersome.
I believe it has something to do with the virus program,
but am not sure
About every minute or two the system times out for about
5 seconds and the small hourglass appears near the
pointer. If I am at a site like Pogo or MSN Games they
will stop any movement for just those few seconds. It
just freezes for and then goes on about its normal
activity. After an hour or so playing a game, that gets
quite annoying !! It also happens when I read
articles/email etc. but isn't as annoying on a static
page
Any thoughts, again I believe this started after
installing the new 2004 NAV, and did not happen on the
previous version, 2002 NAV. Is it searching for something
repeatatively, virus's and such??? It just seems weird.
Thanks for your input. I really appreciate your help !
Dan
Sorry - I should add I have WIndows XP Pro with 40 GB
Hardrive, about 85% free, 1024 Memory with a 1.5 GHZ
Pentium 4 processor. Don't have too much loaded. AOL/MSN,
ad-aware, NAV 2004 and the various music players. Memory
runs at about 78% free to use.
