Xp freezes

hi,
i just built a new computer and have installed XP home (
up to 3 times now) and i have completed the updates for xp
home, now after the updates i am playing music and
downloading updates for my games and it freezes, i play
games it freezes, i am instant messaging and it freezes.
Any1 know wat is wrong?
I have set the video card to appropriate settings, loaded
all new drives for every equipment i m running, the only
thing is that i havn't flashed my bios?
plz help me!

Hi ya
Check that your tower case is ventilated correctly its possible that your
CPU is overheating, have you got the correct fan for your cpu and check the
fan on your video card is it operating correctly.
