Yep my 56k external modem has been working for years and quite well. But one
morning I go to dial up and it won't pick up the dial tone. I swapped it
from COM2 toCOM1 and told it there was a modem stuck in it's bottom.. It
worked. But now everytime we boot up and try to dial up, it needs to be
found (hardware search.. and then click on the actual link for dialing)
AAAnd, once she's started up there's the screen everything is fine, but it's
like it's remembered a period in time where a folder was open and has it in
it's start-up.
We don't do any mad file swapping or any heavy file work.. just the standard
routine, but it's having a go at us I reckon.
