XP floppy boot disk errors

I've created six boot disks (floppies) to enable
partitioning and formatting of a new HDD (on another
machine). But when the downloaded .exe file unpacks, some
files are damaged: disk 5 contains a number of errors
(files are named ".sy_" instead of ".sys").
I fixed them manually but I still get a blue screen
message with disk 5: "The file flpydisk.sys is
corrupted". It looks fine to me, but is there somewhere
else I can get it? I have repeatedly unpacked the .exe
file (requires disks 1-4 to also be written each time).

Thanks

Actually your disk was just fine; they are supposed to be that way. The
files with extensions like sy_ are compressed. During setup they are
expanded and renamed to sys or whatever the extension is. If you manually
rename them it will mess up the disk because it won't be able to find the
compressed files it's looking for.

Thanks Alex, I learn something every day!
However, still having problems: "the file sfloppy.sys is
corrupted" occurs with the original ".sy_" or ".sys"
extension.
I have run the downloaded program to create the disks a
few times now...

fixed that glitch - third time lucky.
