If I purchased a P.C. (from Dell) about a year and a half
ago including "XP Home Edition", does the Internet
Firewall come "Enabled" ?

I am not sure if XP Home edition has a firewall, but if you want a firewall
that is even better than XP's try zoneAlarm. There is a free version that
you can download. There are plenly of them on the web for free download. Go
to goole and type "firewall" or go to www.downloads.com and searh for
"firewall".

Greetings --

WinXP's built-in firewall is not normally enabled by default, but
only Dell can tell you if they initially shipped out the PC with it
enabled or disabled.

To enable/disable the built-in firewall, Start > Network
Connections > Right-click the connection > Properties > Advanced >
