Hi,

I have used XP's built in fax console for a while now. All of a sudden my
inbox got corrupted (I think). The message "resource unavailable" appears
and all my inbox history is gone. Does anybody know where the original faxes
from the inbox are stored? I would like to print out at least the faxes I
received before reinstalling the whole thing.

In the Printer folder, open the fax console, the items should be there.

No, that was the problem to begin with. I can not open inbox on the fax
console because of this error. That is why I am looking for the individual
fax files.

By default all Inbox and sent items tif files are stored
in the following directory structure

{Windows Install Drive}:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows NT\MSFax

And this path can be altered by modifiying following
registry key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Fax\Inbox

Since faxes are stored as tif files, You can quickly get
this by searching for all .tif files in your machine.

Also we want to solve the "Resource unavailable" error.
Can you give us more details on your machine
configurations. In particular is there enough free space
in your hard disk.
