I have tried a few suggestions mentioned but when Explorer opens I still end
up at My Documents. My aim is to have Explorer open To C: If I understood
registry better perhaps I could handle. I still can use an assist by more
Knowledgable One. Humbly bow to better people. Please Help if you can.
Enjoy! Loren

I didn't read the messages you are referring to but all you have to do is
create a shortcut. You don't have to touch the registry. Here is a sample
shortcut:

%systemroot%\explorer.exe /e,c:\

which will open to c:, not my documents.

Frank

p.s.; If you do not know how to create a shortcut, right click on an open
area of the screen, click "new" and then "shortcut" to create a new shortcut
which will have the above instruction.

Works For ME. Thank you
