XP / Epson Stylus C60 / USB Port

HELP! I've been trying to get my old printer to work
with my new computer for three days now. I'm about ready
to give up. I finally got the drivers downloaded from
the net and now I can't seem to get my computer and
printer to talk to each other using a USB. It doesn't
seem to recognize the USB Port that the printer is
plugged into. I've tried using different USB connections
and have gotten no where. Any suggestions?
