Hi
I deleted partition,partitioned and then formatted c then d drive..windows
installed on the d drive..
how do I get it over to c drive or how to resolve this

thanks

The only way to get XP installed on C is to reinstall. The registry has too
many references now to "D" and you won't be successful into trying to copy
over to C. If you delete your current partitions and then create a partition
the size you want for C and D and then only format C you should be OK. The
installer will setup XP on the formatted partition. Once that setup is
complete and you've boot to Windows you can format D through the Computer
Management Console.

oh goodness..I feared as much..thanks
