Hi all,

Possibly a silly question this but here goes!

Is it possible to install a UK version of XP for a Dutch person?

I notice that during the installation of XP you have the option to select
language etc but would this make it a complete Dutch version or is there
more to it?

Regards,

Paul

Hi

You can't change the Language of XP. You would have to purchase an English
Retail XP CD. You can then either install that instead of the Dutch version
or dual boot both.

English version can show in any language, BUT you must buy the extra language files with XP with a new computer, not available after you already have bought XP (or be a large corporation).

But gin drinkers know their software so you should have asked in a dutch group.

If you were loading Windows XP Pro and it asked for language it was
probably Multi Lingual Windows XP Pro OEM.

There are 24 fully localized versions of Windows XP Professional
There are 33 languages available in the Windows XP Professional
Multilingual User Interface Pack, which is an add-on to the English
version of Windows XP Professional
Windows XP Pro MUI is currently available as OEM, the MUI add-on for
Window XP Pro is only available for the English Localize version and
only to corporate etc, licensing. So the only way to get one or two
PC's running MUI Win XP Pro is to order them from OEM venders such as
DELL or order the Multilingual Win XP Pro OEM and role your own.
