Wife began to play ZUMA on MSN, and, XP dumped. Tried it several times, and, about 2-3min in the game, XP rebooted

Checked the Error log and it relates to a file called ZUMA.DLL

We are up-2-date on SP's and needed files, running good drives for our gear, and got NAV/SPYBOT to keep out the nasties..

Hi jwn,

I suggest you uninstall the game, reboot and test that the system can function
without any errors. Afterwards, set a restore point, and reinstall the game
after you download a fresh copy of it. Do not use an antivirus scanner during
the download or installation process as that could be corrupting Zuma files.

Hi JWN,

Is she running any application firewalls, ad blockers, etc when
she's loading and playing the game online? Maybe it's IE...

| Jimmy,
|
| Thx for the reply.
|
| The issue is the online version of ZUMA. She starts the app from MSN/Games. She gets within the game for several min's, then, XP
creates a crash message relating to ZUMA.DLL.
|
| There is no D/L - its the online version. I've found no Zuma DLL's to uninstall, nor anything.
|
| It seems that its either an IE issue, or, an NVIDIA driver issue. I'm leaning to the Vid card....

Jimmy,

I'll give it a shot. U think IE *may* need to be reinstalled? In event viewer, IE.EXE crashes due to zuma.dll.

Will let you know..

Hi JWN,

Good plan, in fact it's the first suggestion I put on that list. :-)
