XP drivers missing. Where can I get them?

Hi,
I bought a Microsoft keyboard that came with the Microsoft Wireless
Transceiver for Bluetooth. On one computer it installed immediately as the
drivers came with WIndows. However, on the other computer, the drivers could
not be found. I looked in System Information under Software
Environment>SIgned Drivers and they don't seem to have been registered. The
only item under B is Beep. But on the working computer there are loads.
Another item I bought had the same symptoms as WinXP drivers were missing.

How do I install or get the drivers? They should be on a WIndows CD but
where? Hopefully without a Windows reinstall.

Go to HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\. Delete the following key: {e0cbf06c-cd8b-4647-bb8a-263b43f0f974}. Open Device
Manager. (run devmgmt.msc) Remove the Bluetooth listed here. Click Action, click Scan for hardware changes. This should
re-enumerate the Bluetooth adapter, using the SP2 drivers.

Thanks. I just repaired windows and reinstalled SP2 as I had not seen your
post yet. Anyway, thanks.

Mark,

Perhaps you could help me out. I've followed your instructions - however
when I scan for new devices, it can't find the drivers to install for my BT
(Toshiba Qosmio G15 - device name Toshiba RFBUS Driver).

I had removed the preloaded software and drivers for the BT already, and I'm
trying to install the windows BT stack - the toshiba stack did not recogize
my BB Pearl for sync usage.

Any pointers would be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Mark

My problem is that the bluetooth devices icon is not showing in control
panel .
Apologies for being a bit dim but where do I "go" to do the following...

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\. Delete the following key:
{e0cbf06c-cd8b-4647-bb8a-263b43f0f974}.

Can you please help, regards P

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately, I cannot find a file
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\

I can send files via infrared from the computer to the Palm, but cannot send
files from the Palm to the computer because the computer is not discoverable.
The Help files say to just go to Control Panel and then to Bluetooth Devices
and then turn on discoverability in the options tab. But there isno
Bluetooth devices folder in the control panel.

I have tried to find a download at Microsoft for Bluetooth Devices
Enumerator, but I can't find such a thing.

I am running Windows XP Service Pack 2. I have downloaded all the most
current updates. But these is still no Bluetooth Devices folder in the
control pared.

Click Start, Run, type REGEDIT, click OK. Then do as instructed above.
HKLM stands for HKey Local Machine.

Have you read this

You may be allot of files missing off system, to check this>Start>Run>open
type in box sfc /scannow,make sure you have space after c as example. Make
sure xp disc is loaded, when you get retry button make sure you keep
clicking on it so you build up the blue progress bar. This could take some
time if you are missing a lot.
