xp driver recognition

I have a problrm when i try to install a CD encorder
software which worked well when installed on win 98

a message says that aspi drivers are not installed.
compatibility wizard can not solve the problem.
my cd rom is a mormal atapi rom on ide interface
 
ASPI drivers are software layers which help with SCSI adn CD-RW devices. XP
does not normally need them but some software do. Head over to Adaptec's
web site and download them (www.adaptec.com).
