I have two network adaptors in an XP Pro SP2 computer. The first is connected to the company domain network, the second is connected to an always on internet connection.

How do I choose the second adaptor for internet access?

I have 2 network adaptors in my Windows XP Pro SP2 PC. The first is connected to the Company LAN and I can access the internet through this. The second is connected to a WAN, an always ON broadband connection.

When I run internet explorer it always uses the LAN for internet access.

My question is, how do I configure the WAN so that this is the prefferred connection for Internet access.

Actually I figured out the answer, I have to uncheck the option called Automatic Metric and set it to 1 for the WAN TCP/IP properties.

right click the internet explorer icon on the desktop> properties> connections tab, there should be 2 connections, highlight the wireless one and click the set default button
