How much space do you have allocated to System Restore? System Properties>
System Restore can tell you this. Do you have enough free space on the
drive to accomodate the allotted amount?
200MB is the minimum. For an average system, that is good for at least 3
restore points. For a very complicated configuration, it may only be enough
for one.
If you are in the practice of downloading, or copying and moving a lot of
files that have monitored extensions - try to work with them on drives or
partitions that are not monitored. A few large *.EXE files downloaded to
the desktop and then moved around a few times, could conceivably knock out
older restore points - possibly all restore points if you are using the
lowest settings.
