XP doesn't detect new HDD.

Just installed a new maxtor 6L160P0 HDD (PATA, 160gig) as slave on 1st
IDE with my master windows drive. BIOS detects, no problems. Windows
refuses to recognize the drive; disk management doesn't see it, paragon
partition manager doesn't see it. I've used the MaxBlast program
provided by maxtor, booted w/the diskette, it saw it, partitioned it,
windows still doesn't see it. I'm running SP2 so i doubt it is an issue
w/the 48-bit addressing. I'm stumped.

Have you resolved your problem re the operating system detecting your 160 GB
HD?
