XP dial up connection icon

How do I get the connection icon to appear on the task
bar? When I connect to Internet Explorer, I have no way
of disconnecting, without that icon, do I?

Hi Pamela,

Click on start >> connect to >> 'show all connections' and right-click the
dial-up connection icon in question and click on properties. Put a check on
"show icon in notification area when connected".
