My laptop was working fine. I was able to ping it from
the default gateway router and also from itself.
I enabled Internet Connection Sharing, then decided not
to use ICS & removed it.
Now my laptop doesn't respond to pings from anywhere but
itself & I can't use the tftp server on the laptop...
other than this it seems to work fine & can access
everything else i need it to.
Can anyone provide any insight?
Thanks,
Kevin

hi kevin,
Just make sure if the ICS is fully disabled..
And moreover make sure the XP's personal firewall is not
checked..
to check that you will have to right click on your Local
Area Connection [Network connection] , and select
properties form the menu..internet security firewall on your comp..
And then try to ping..If ping is successfull , its good
and fine..installed and is checked..
