xp desktop icons

when I am using XP home,all icons on the desktop are disappear,incloude quick
lauch,taskbar,start meau.
or,when I click the icons on the desktop or taskbar,all of icons incloude
taskbarã€quick lauchã€start meau are disappear and I cannot open anything,but
they will appear after a second.
I try to open task manager and click "new task" to open a new process of
explorer,but when I clich the "new task" the status above come again.
Could someone here can help me? thanks a lot!

The microsoft.public.windowsxp.general group would be more use to you.
We deal with embedded systems here, not home-user systems
