I have three questions, that I hope someone can help me
with.
(1) I understand that there is an Unzip component in XP.
Where can I find it.
(2) I was reading an article the other day where someone
"Do Not Use XP Backup Program". Is it a good/bad
program. I am using a USB external HD for backup.
(3) Reading through one of the XP pages on the net I
found a SP3 file available should this be downloaded
or is this just for company administrators.Or should
eveybody download it. Hoping to get some answers

Fridge:

1) Open the Help and Support Center and read the article called "To extract
files from a zipped compressed folder."

2) That's like asking "Is Pontiac a good car?" If you like the XP backup
program and it works for you, it's a good program. Read more about it here:
"Backup Made Easy"
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/columns/bott/03july14.asp

3) You should visit Windows Update weekly and download all service packs and
security updates as soon as they are released. Windows Update knows exactly
which updates your computer needs. Doesn't get simpler than that.

The custom in newsgroups is to ask one question per post. But I made an
exception for you, because you're cool.

it should be on a flyout if you right-click on a file.

Well, that won't help you at all then. The XP Backup utility can only
write to floppy and tape drives. The "full" version of that software, which
IIRC is now called "BackupMyPC" can write to other targets, but you'll have
to buy it. So you should consider other backup options.

There is only SP1 and other updates for Windows XP. SP2 hasn't been
released yet, never mind SP3. You may perhaps be thinking of another
product.
