I have added some XP clients to my NT Domain and a couple
of them that just all of a sudden started having logon
problems. The message they're getting is

"Windows cannot connect to the domain either the domain
controller is down or otherwise unavailable or because
your computer accoun was not found"

Has anyone else had this problem?

Place the IP of the NT domain server in the XP's DNS lookup within the
TCP/IP paarameters. These are XP Pro clients? cause XP Home versions can not
login to a domain. It can use the resourses as a peer-to-peer network.

Good Luck

I have run into this on my network.(nt 4.0 Domain)
I found an article
http://www.jsiinc.com/subk/tip5100/rh5146.htm
It tells you to go to control panels, administrative
tools, local security policy, local policies, security
options, double click "domain member:digitally encrypt or
sign secure channel data (always)"
Click on disabled
click on "apply" and "o.k."

This worked for on serveral occasions, usually new
laptops comming with xp pro.
Let me know
