I am having issues connecting from an XP box to my
Windows 2000Terminal Server. It worked fine last month
from this same XP box and I even see the License under
Terminal Services Licensing for the XP box in question.
Here is the problem from the client side
"The Client could not establish a connection to the
remote computer. The most likely causes for this error
are:
1) Remote connections might not be enabled at the remote
computer
2) The Maximum number of connections was exceeded at the
remote computer.
3) A network error occurred while establishing the
connection"
--Here is what I found on the server side--
Event log shows
Date:7/21/04 Source:TermService Time:14:42 Category:None
Type:Infomation Event ID:1010
The terminal services could not locate a license server.
Confirm that all license servers on the network are
registered in WINS\DNS, accepting network requests, and
the Terminal Services Licensing Service is running
Found that the service was not running : Started Service
as above with Time:15:01 Event ID:1004
The terminal server cannot issue a client license.
--What I did to try to resolve it--
Found article KB329896 and followed directions...no go
--Results of what happened...no GO --
Event Log shows

Category:None Type:Infomation Event ID:6
Regenerate public/private key by client ncalrpc:TSSERV
as above with Event ID:18
Terminal Service Licensing on server TSSERV has not been
activated. Terminal Services Licensing will only issue
temporary licenses until the server is activate. See
Terminal Services Licensing help topic for more info.

I would really appreciate some assistance considering I
tried the microsoft site for support and it told me my
product id number isn't good in the united state...WTF
now I need to know how to resolve that too.
post here for everyones benefit or send to me at
