XP capable of two sound cards?

Can I install 2 sound cards in an XP machine? If so, are
there any tricks to getting them to work? Do they have
to be identical hardware or can they be different sound
cards?
 
Yes, you can install 2 sound cards on a xp machine. I have a sound card that
came intergrated on my motherboard (which is not diabled), and I installed a
separate Creative SB Live sound card. I can get them both to work fine, but
you need to specify to each program which sound card you wish to use for
what.
